As the best-loved and most frequently copied (yet still unrivalled) family of professional tripods on the market, the 055 series is the best choice it terms of size, weight and stability. Depending on the model, the 055 series is ideal for indoor and outdoor use and is available in various configurations and two different versions: aluminium and carbon. The 055 product range was specially designed to offer the best possible performance not only for keen amateur and professional photographers, but also provide advanced hobby photographers with the high quality and precision found in Manfrotto products.
You can choose between the aluminium or dual carbon versions. The aluminium version is also available in a set with a new three-way panhead or a ball head.
This tripod set includes the new Manfrotto MT055XPRO3 combined with the newly developed MHXPRO-3W 3-way panhead.
The MHXPRO-3W is Manfrotto's most compact, most precise and most reliable 3-way panhead.
Thanks to its extending adjustment lever, the MHXPRO-3W has a very compact size when stores and can therefore, be easily stored and transported. When prepared for transportation with its lever retracted and folded away, the head only requires a space measuring 13cm x 13.5cm x 13.5cm. The MHXPRO-3W 3-way panhead’s tilt and vertical movement friction controls allow adjustments to be made for the camera’s weight. Open clips can be used for fine-tuning. Only after this can everything be securely and firmly locked. Three spirit levels allow the camera to be extremely precisely aligned on the tripod and, therefore, reduce the need for post-editing on the computer. The use of robust aluminium provide the panhead with exceptional reliability and durability. Despite a high load-bearing capacity of up to 8kg, the head itself only weighs 1kg.
